Apparently, Those Microsoft Spirit-Building Rallies Really Do Work

Dan Woodman was laid off by Microsoft last week. But apparently the enthusiasm he got from those big-ass Safeco field rallies will be sticking around...in the form of a tattoo. Several years ago, Woodman got a tattoo of the company's "blue monster" mascot. The mascot's theme? "Change the world or go home." Apparently Woodman didn't change the world.

But he plans to keep the tattoo, a photograph of which is after the jump, along with Woodman's explanation and a never-stops-being-awesome clip of Steve Ballmer firing up the crowd at a rally.

Says Woodman:

Working at Microsoft has been the greatest experience of my life and I have no desire to forget about it. And even if I don't get back into Microsoft right away (which is, by the way, my plan!), then I have a reminder that even outside of Microsoft, I need to do my best to change the world every single day.

That just makes me sad. But this video of Steve Ballmer going buck-wild to the tune of Gloria Estefan's "Get on Your Feet" does cheer me up a little:
