The NBA President

Around the time George W. Bush was inaugurated eight long years ago, he was anointed the MBA President, an account of his business school background. Well, after: (a) watching today's intros -- which, with the melodramatic baritone-voiced announcer; the crowd's signs, jockish garb, and raucous cheers and boos; and the partisan "teams" entering the staging area together, felt like a vintage Celtics-Lakers playoff game; (b) hearing that the National Basketball Association is willing to foot the tab for construction of a full court at the White House; and (c) the appointment elite collegiate hoopers like Arne Duncan and Reggie Love to key administration positions, I don't think it's any stretch to anoint Barack Hussein Obama the NBA President. And today, he was faaaantastic!
