Condoleezza Rice, Pac-10 Commissioner?

Bob Condotta reports that former National Security Advisor and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice may be angling for the job of Pac-10 commissioner. She's obviously an extremely bright woman, and we're pretty sure she'd be the first commissioner to have had an oil tanker named after her.

But we'll always remember Condi from her gig selling a little war in Iraq. And her policies as a key member of the Bush national security apparatus hint at some troubling times for the Pac-10.

Just imagine:

-Officiating contracts outsourced to Halliburton.

competition doctrine ends home games for Pac-10, as goal is to "fight

them over there so we don't have to fight them at home."
-Thus, the Rose Bowl is moved to Michigan.
-Rule violation hearings in which Colin Powell points to satellite images of

Husky stadium and says "this is a smoke machine...and that dot right there, that's Steve Sarkisian delivering a briefcase

full of cash."

Yikes! We'll pass.
