Loose Change You Can Believe In

obamacoin_product_highlight[1].jpgIf you want to spread the wealth around, this holiday season, why not start by giving your friends, and any forlorn Republicans you might know, collectible President Barack Obama Inaugural Coins.

Courtesy of late-night TV, you too can own a piece of history for just the low, low price of $9.95 (plus shipping and handling).

"President Barack Obama is depicted in glorious full color on a genuine United States Inaugural Presidential Dollar and layered in genuine 24 karat gold"

Somehow having a coin clad in a thin veneer of gold covering a core of base alloys is oddly and appropriately symbolic. As America's new ruler, it is entirely appropriate to have his visage on coinage.

With the economy going into the tank the way it is, and consumer confidence at record lows, perhaps the answer is for Americans to buy as much tacky Obama swag as you can charge on your credit cards.

Spam You Can Believe In: In addition to ads appearing on television, it appears you can buy the Obama Inaugural Dollar from reputable dealers who send spam to your e-mail accounts. Over the past two weeks, about a half-dozen Obama Dollar messages have been caught up in this writer's Hotmail account.
