Last week's collapse by Attorney General Michael Mukasey, while he spoke before a meeting of the Federalist Society, was the perfect fodder for national television news outlets.
Old politician faints in front of crowd. Cue the violins and crocodile tears. Have pundits on the talk shows giving their expert opinions. Repeat every fifteen minutes.
Prior to the health scare, however, Mukasey was reportedly interrupted by a heckler who shouted "Tyrant" during his remarks. An audience of Federalist Society members, generally known for their conservative and/or libertarian political views, isn't generally the place where one would expect that sort of street brawling behavior.
Especially when the heckler is rumored to be a Washington State Supreme Court Justice.
FOXNews supposedly reports that Justice Richard Sanders is rumored to be the heckler in question. Since then, the Internet has parroted the rumor with national bloggers such as conservative Michelle Malkin adding their opinions. However, there isn't a story on the FOXNews website actually making that claim.
The Seattle Weekly has left messages at the home and Olympia office of Justice Sanders in order to verify or discount the online rumors. More when there's confirmation...
