A staffer for U.S. District Court Judge John Coughenour confirms that Seattle first son Jacob Nickels was sentenced to three months in federal prison for his role in attempting to cheat the Nooksack River Casino of $90,000. John Metcalfe has the whole story here.
The staffer says defense attorneys are requesting Nickels, 26, be sent to Sheridan, about 90 minutes south of Portland. After that he's on 3 months of electronically monitored home confinement and an additional period of supervision. He was also ordered to pay about $90,000 in restitution.
