Proving once again that the fate of democracy lies in the hands of people who can't make up their minds, Democrat Bill Sherman has taken a narrow poll lead over Republican Dan Satterberg in the King County Prosecutor's race, leaving the undecided to decide it.
According to the latest KING-5 poll, the deputy prosecutor leads his boss the interim prosecutor 49 percent to 43 percent, with eight percent undecided.
KING's Robert Mak says the poll has a 4.4 error margin. In that sense Sherman's is the slimmest of leads, and Satterberg's biggest hope may be to woo the female vote: The poll also found that women favor Sherman by 34 percent over Satterberg. Cough, politically of course.
