One Less Problem at Lakeside

Prosecutor declines to file charges.

Prestigious Lakeside School has enough on its hands with an ongoing federal discrimination lawsuit that raises thorny issues over the private institution's diversity push. So the school was no doubt glad to learn that it will not also face the specter of a criminal case. The King County Prosecutor's Office says it has found "insufficient evidence" to file charges related to a police investigation of a complaint of sexual impropriety at the school, which coincided with the sudden departure of a language teacher in February. Lakeside has not released any information about the complaint, or the departure of the teacher, other than to say that he resigned for "personal reasons."
