Sustainability in Ballard Goes Bonkers

Ballard karaoke star rides his Re-Binders to glossy notoriety. And Oprah loves Sustainable Ballard.

An industrial Ballard company owned by one of my best friends, Brad Hole, has made the cut for Fast Company's annual "Fast 50" rankings of global business leaders. Sustainable Group sells enviro-friendly office products -- such as cardboard "re-binders" -- to clients such as Al Gore (seriously). Hole is also heavily involved with Sustainable Ballard (no direct affiliation with Hole's company, just shared nomenclature), raises chickens in his backyard in East Ballard and enjoys karaoke (but not TV dinners).  Also, per Hole: "Sustainable Ballard is going to be talked about on Oprah on December 5th. They have been talking to Vic [Opperman, SusBal's leader] for the past two weeks."
