Robber-soldier allegedly wanted to start a Canadian "crime family."

Hot on the heels of this week's Rick Anderson cover story on a group of Fort Lewis Army Rangers who robbed a South Tacoma bank to allegedly shed light on war crimes in Iraq, today's Times has the FBI and one of the defendants, Scott Byrne, on record as saying that the crew's ringleader, Luke Sommer, wanted to use the roberry as a launching pad to start a British Columbia crime family that would "challenge the Hell's Angels for control of the drug running and extortion rackets in that area."
