Best Charity: Planned Parenthood

The people have spoken.

Among other services, this nonprofit charitable organization provides sexual education and reproductive-health services throughout the United States and around the world. Despite being challenged by conservative Christian fundamentalists, defunded in 10 states, and attacked by anti-choice activists, Planned Parenthood has not backed down in its fight for reproductive rights. The workers here are fervent in their advocacy for public-policy change, believing access to reproductive care is a fundamental right of each individual, regardless of background.
