Shay Roth

Shay Roth helps booking agent Mike Jaworski get the word out about the rock, punk, metal, pop, and alt-country programming that Ballard's Sunset Tavern is known for, but in the last year, his ability to promote a show went to the next level, aesthetically speaking. Roth's artwork (sometimes conceived in concert with the imagination of neighboring Anchor Tattoo artist Rempe) has a refinement and refreshing minimalism that sets it apart from the busy, Art Chantry-influenced flyers that have dominated Seattle telephone poles for years. His black, white, and red image used to promote a benefit for Hazlewood co-proprietor Keith Bartoloni was so instantly popular that a T-shirt printed with that image sold out at the show.
