Let's face it, everyone at some point in their youth donned a bed sheet, swimming goggles, and aerodynamic socks and ran full-throttle off the back porch in an attempt to fly. Oh, you didn't? Well, there's still time. It may or may not be legal, but you can't beat the adrenaline rush of jumping into Lake Washington from the unused overpass off Highway 520. The trick is finding it: Starting at the Hop-In Market just south of the Montlake Bridge, follow East Lake Washington Boulevard until it turns toward the Arboretum and the entrance to 520 East. Take a left into a gravel parking lot, then follow the path that veers under the 520 Montlake Boulevard exit. At the end of the path you'll find the beginning of the overpass. Walk along it past the "No Trespassing" sign, and you've found flying nirvana. (Like the code in Pirates of the Caribbean, the sign is more of a guideline.)
