In 2001, Grounders World Famous Garlic Fries arrived at Safeco Field, marking the most significant year in the stadium's decade-long history. (Oh, it's also the year Ichiro joined the Mariners.) Those glorious fries, hand-tossed and seasoned with copious amounts of chopped garlic, parsley, and kosher salt, are so damn tasty, they've kicked the oh-so-cliché hot dog off its #1 spot on Safeco's best-selling-food list. Screw hot dogs. Screw beer. Screw Ichiro. It's worth attending a Mariners game if only to consume Grounders' greasy goodness.
