Why is it that a major metropolis like Seattle goes to bed so damn early? Most of its restaurants?and, sadly, even bars?close when the party should just be getting started. The exception to that rule, of course, is the International District. The nocturnal neighborhood bustles with action in the early-morning hours, particularly on weekends. Throngs of people hankering for honey walnut prawns and karaoke hang around the charmingly gritty spots that stay open well past 2 a.m., including Honey Court, Sea Garden, and Venus Karaoke. It's a vibrant scene consisting of Asian immigrants, drunken clubbers, and bored insomniacs?all grateful to have an alternative to loitering in a Dick's parking lot.?Erika Hobart
