Best Farmers Market Booth to Put Down Stakes

Anita's Crepes

Plenty of farmers-market purveyors have graduated to brick-and-mortar status, but none have made the transition better than Anita's Crepes. Its bright-yellow Leary Way location is a beacon of hominess among the car repair shops and gas stations surrounding it. And it's lovely on the inside, too, with an open kitchen, a friendly, doting staff, and savory or sweet buckwheat crepes filled with mostly local ingredients. The ham and cheese is hearty and impossibly fresh-tasting. If you can't make it to Ballard, don't worry. Anita can still be found weekly at six local farmers markets.—Suzie Rugh
