No, it's not the Sounders. Those guys are great and all—but they're not the Seattle Mist. Here's how it is: Most meat-eating straight males love football, and that same demographic also loves really hot chicks. Put the two together, and you've got the Mist, Seattle's soon-to-debut (9/11 is kickoff) women's football team. Yeah, we've had a women's football team here before, but they played in full unis and drank at the Wild Rose. The Mist plays in lingerie and parties at Venom after the game. Better yet, they'll be playing their home games in Kent, thus fueling the fantasies of tens of thousands of middle-class suburban dads.—Mike Seely

What they play can barely be considered football, if you want to be a REAL football team maybe you should step up and play the Majestics? Or are you afraid you'll mess up your hair?

It's unfortunate in this day and age when you have to refer to the REAL women's football team (The Seattle Majestics) as "drinking at the Wildrose." It is well-known that the Wildrose is a gay-friendly bar, but really, this is a direct reference to bigotry, referring that these players are lesbians.

Wow, Seattle Weekly... I really thought you had a bit more class. I guess I was mistaken.
