Wallingford residents are coming to realize that in the middle of their sleepy neighborhood lies a veritable Bermuda Triangle of sugary hazards. At the intersection of Northeast 45th Street and Wallingford Avenue is a corridor of the city that's like a sweet tooth's version of heaven and a dieter's easiest route to disaster—with Molly Moon's ice cream, Trophy Cupcakes, High 5 Pie (at Fuel Coffee), and Fainting Goat Gelato all within a block of one another. Just driving past is enough to induce a sugar rush. Attempt to remain strong against the siren song of Trophy's Valrhona chocolate cupcakes; High 5's hand-held pie, the "Flipside" (perfect for eating in the car, by the way); Molly Moon's "Scout" mint ice cream (good enough to corrupt any Girl Scout); or Fainting Goat's authentically-made gelatos (they're open late!).
