It takes an awful lot of flowers and sheers to shine up most function rooms. But not Herban Feast's new SODO venue. The lofty event space makes the concept of renewable and reclaimable downright regal. The old barn-shaped warehouse boasts a neck-craning ceiling and enough exposed beams to make any decorator swoon. As grand an impression as the space makes, it's broken up with little vignettes of furniture, a bar, and more, making it as comfortable for 75 as for 300. Why incur the huge expense of flowers that die and useless linens when this blank slate is already a showstopper? Add the farm-fresh "I can't believe this is banquet food" creations of Dalis Chea, and a commitment to sustainability that results in the production of more compost than waste, and you can't afford not to have a party here.
