Jim Basnight is a 51-year-old Seattleite who runs a UW sports fansite called HuskyDigest.com. But that hardly defines the full Basnight, who was a founding member of an influential late-’70s/early-’80s Seattle power pop band called the Moberlys. Since then, Basnight has never stopped rocking, maintaining a breakneck touring schedule with his Jim Basnight Band. And by breakneck schedule, we mean the most jam-packed, no-gig’s-too-small tour itinerary (viewable en toto after the jump) we’ve ever laid eyes on.Who books Lynnwood sports bars six months out? Basnight. Who books the Tekoa Theatre a full year in advance? Basnight. And lest you think the Jesus Christ pose Basnight strikes above is a little over the top, the JBB is going to play a 60-day run at the Roche Harbor Resort this summer. The Allman Brothers’ annual Beacon Theatre residency has nothing on Basnight’s Rochefest.
