Reflections on Seattle from www.urbandictionary.com
Posted Nov. 20, 2007 at 2:34 pm by Halley Griffin1. Seattle
About as far away as you can go and still stay in the Lower 48. There is an obsession with kings there, with the now destroyed Kingdome, the fact Seattle is in King County, and KING-TV. Of course, the king of the world, Bill Gates, who partly contributed to this and every other entry on this page, lives near Seattle, in Medina.
Sir Mix a Lot is from Seattle.

2. Seattle
The best city on the West (best) coast. Everywhere off the w coast is crazy and I never leave it anymore unless I'm leaving the country or going to Canada. Seattle is the best of all worlds. lots of culture and diversity. Alot like San Francisco or Vancouver. Only problem is everything smells like piss there in summer there. Way, way, way too many homeless people.
Austin, TX & Halifax, NS only wish they were Seattle. You never get bored in Seattle unless your boring. Austin & Halifax bored me and all my freids within 3 days.
3. Seattle
a seattle is an erection of the penis. Im not sure if many people use this word as such. But every one i know does.
Fuck, ive got a seattle.
4. Seattle
The whitest, most liberal city in America. Packed with smug hippies and wannabe hipsters, Seattle prides itself on its liberal politics to the extreme of ignoring any facts that may contradict the feelings that dictate this towns actions.
Corrupt elections are rigged and fixed for Democrats or the closest candidate to a socialist that can be found.
Seattleites think themselves tolerant (as long as you are a raving socialist), integrated (easy in an all-white city), and that the entire world thinks the same way they do.
Every Seattle idiot whines about the 2004 election fraud in Ohio but Seattle elections in King County "found" Democrat votes three times in cages and ballot boxes that had been certified empty three times!
A statue of Lenin graces Seattles Fremont neighborhood and should be burned to the ground.
The women are fat and cannot dress themselves.
The men are whiny, soft, and weak.

Bulletproof your baby
Posted Aug. 28, 2007 at 4:02 pm by John Metcalfe
This Web site purports to sell:
* a baby carriage that can deflect armor-piercing bullets;
* a "baby bomb blanket" that's "effective against most pipe bombs, hand grenade fragments"; and
* "my first riot helmet."
It's all a marketing ploy for an upcoming movie, but the video of mom pumping a stream of rounds into her stroller makes it worth checking out.

Potluck Paris Imports Style
Posted Aug. 19, 2007 at 4:48 pm by Jen Harper
I heart this necklace. I found it on Potluck Paris' website, but I also discovered I can take a gander at the metal jewelry at local boutique Tweed. For more selection, though, I'd opt for the online shopping.
Seattle importer Potluck Paris brings metal jewelry stateside (in their own carry-on luggage) to those of us who can't quite swing the dollar-to-euro ratio these days for the trip across the pond.

Etsy.com: Where Crafters and the Rest of Us Meet
Posted April 5, 2007 at 5:23 pm by Amy Dials
I hate to generalize an entire group of people, but crafters weird me out.
I have the same policy for hairdressers. I am just convinced that they are all bat shit crazy. Am I wrong or does it take a certain type of person to think it is cute to convert mens' ties into womens' bracelets or to glue handmade felt owls onto otherwise perfectly good vintage skirts? You people are strange.
Although my appreciation for crafts might be lacking, my love for online shopping is quite healthy. Lucky for me and crafters alike, there is a place for us to meet in the middle and live in peace: Introducing Etsy.com, a huge online marketplace for crafts/jewelry/clothing/art and all things handmade.
Etsy is like Ebay's really funky little sister who knits her own leg warmers or something. Etsy is super strict on what can be sold on the site, everything must be handmade, (hence the abundance of ugly crafts) but browse through and you are sure to find an adorable pair of earrings or a fun little tank top.
