Eighteen Individual Eyes

Bravo, the television channel that brought us Top Chef and all of The Real Housewives, premiered a new show this past fall called LOLwork, a reality series that follows the one of Seattle's most successful businesses, the I Can Has Cheezburger? blog. In the latest episode, entitled "Lesbian Cat Wedding," the staff plans a cat-themed wedding, complete with cat-shaped cake, for two women who are among the site's biggest fans. One of the blushing brides is Irene Barber—and don't call the LOLwork episode her fifteen minutes of fame. Barber is the lovely voice behind one of Seattle's most intriguing rock bands, Eighteen Individual Eyes. Last spring, the band released their Unnovae Nights LP, a dark, whirling dream of a record that boosts Barber's place as one of the city's most alluring vocalists, which is a much more notable accomplishment than any of those Real Housewives can boast of.
