Those canny women at Velocity have developed a program to help dance artists “get out of town” and on the road, touring around a trio of venues that includes the Southern Theater in Minneapolis and San Francisco’s renowned ODC space. The Seattle contribution to this program is Laura Curry’s provocative exploration of voyeurism, PINKK (pictured). It’s joined by Minnesota artist Emily Johnson in her duet Give Me a Story, Tell Me You Love Me, and the William Forsythe-influenced SF group KUNST-STOFF, described as “ballet-trained daredevils,” with a highly theatrical, multi-media work that contrasts real dancers with their virtual images.
