Brownstein: I think Portland and Seattle are pretty similar. But when we did our live shows, there was a difference. It had nothing to do with hipsters. This guy in Portland asked the question: "There's a lot of places like Portland. But what makes us different?" And I said, "Well, just the fact that you need to know that, is what makes Portland different." Portland, definitely, has a sense of, like, "Why are we special?"
