April Fool's Day Issue: 22 Things About Seattle That We WISH Were a Joke

While it's customary to pull pranks and serve up hoax stories around April Fool's Day, we find ourselves more amazed at what ISN'T a joke in Seattle these days. Hence: our second annual list of things that sound like they should be a joke, but aren't.

I don't get this. I was out of town for April fools. But I heard about this when I got back. WHAT? Print a stupid picture and put women down? What's with that? I was at the Moisture Festival and saw an incredible show for a packed house at the act theater. I even cried I was so moved. I don't like golf or base ball should I act like the THE SEATTLE WEEKLY. A misogynist newspaper! A paper who writers have no sense of humanity. Just more female exploitation abuse because you're scared buddy, you are scared. GOOD!

My friend's often tell me my house smells different and funky to them, and it's probably due to the pet odor as I have 2 cats. I never noticed the odor myself until I was away for a significant time. It seems that Seattleites suffer from this same syndrome. Transplants notice the rampant flakiness and passive aggressiveness while many natives do not or excuse it as a local thing. It seems to get in the way of much progress and in my opinion these two things should be at the top of the list. Perhaps the author didn't want to offend anyone.

So if i'm to understand your dumbass article correctly, you hate boobs and pulled pork? It's possible you're so hip that these two things are old hat to you and you're onto the next thing, and everyone enjoying them is crass and a symptom of everything that's wrong with seattle. Or it's possible you're an idiot.
