Since turf war broke out between priests and nuns in part 1 of Scot Augustson's comedy, no Y chromosome is safe from the wrath of the Sisters of the Sweaty Veil. Another fresh marshmallow of irreverence and bloodshed, Episode 2 has all the smutty wit of 1, but without the intricate plot weave. This middle child (Episode 3 is on the way) grabs attention with hilarious Catholic jokes, foreign accents (including Boston Irish), and fake body parts well worth laughter cramps, but the story doesnt advance much; it feels like the once-rich gruel of the show has been thinned. Nonetheless, its impossible not to love these frocked freaks as they helplessly grope toward salvation by way of any mortal flesh within reach. The cast is marvelously committed, so its a pleasure to watch even the cheesiest parts. May the manna of patronage (and/or charity) rain on this one-of-a-kind theater so they can afford to dole out a little more story in part 3. MARGARET FRIEDMAN
