Tonights celebration titled a Winter Wonderfuck is snowy showcase of Seattles varied flavors of local rock. Henry Boy brings the pop to the party. The 79ers are a patchwork act boasting members of the Enemy, the Dynette Set and The Frazz. The excellently executed and named the Spooges, a Stooges cover band, consisting of Rob Morgan and local luminaries the Fags (whose bio claims they are only one or two degrees of separation from every band that has been vaguely influential in Seattle over the last 25 years) promise to be no fun. And then theres the evenings headliner, glam punk band the Girls, who call this a reunion show. But as they have been around forever and have had incalculable ex-members (and a few of whom, are shall we say, disgruntled?) an actual reunion show could involve at least six or seven hours an two or three fist fights, making the wonderfuck part of the evening worth showing up for all by itself.
