Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival

See threedollarbillcinema.org for the schedule for the festival's second week, which continues at the Admiral, Central Cinema, Cinerama, Egyptian, and Northwest Film Forum. Among the highlights is the documentary Valentino: The Last Emperor (9:45 p.m. Weds., Egyptian), about which our Melissa Anderson wrote: "Structured to make us boo the evil corporations that took over the House of Valentino while fetishistically documenting the details of the designer’s three-day swan-song extravaganza in Rome, Valentino is an orgy of châteaus, villas, yachts, majordomos, and Joan Collinses set to a Nino Rota score. [Director Matt] Tyrnauer extols Valentino’s extreme lavishness as a kind of honorable, defiant stance." (NR)
