Tony Angell

Shoreline illustrator and sculptor Tony Angell previously illustrated In the Company of Crows and Ravens (authored by local crow expert John M. Marzluff), whose delightful panels of those pesky black corvids surely demonstrated many hours in the field–observing, sketching, and being dive-bombed by angry crow parents. His new collection, Puget Sound Through an Artist’s Eye (UW Press, $35), has an emphasis on birds and waterfowl. His drawings, paintings, and three-dimensional works all come from nature and the wilds of our own backyard. BRIAN MILLER
