For all the sad Björk fanatics who missed her 2007 Volta tour, or for those who were there and want to relive the experience over and over again, here’s the documentary. One evening was filmed in her hometown of Reykjavík, Iceland, the other in Paris. While no concert movie—past, present or future—will do justice to the live performance, Voltaic does allow those who weren’t there to enjoy the all-female brass section’s feathered headdresses, the Technicolor dresses only Björk can pull off without looking like a tie-died grocery sack, and the crazy lightbox synth that looks more like a toy than a real instrument.
