Papercuts

Tuesday, August 7

Papercuts paint a hazy, folk-psychedelia landscape with an elegant and shimmering touch that commands your undivided attention. On their latest release, Can’t Go Home, singer/songwriter/guitarist Jason Quever’s gentle, lovelorn confessions and reverb-caked warbles weave through the dreamy and uplifting mix of acoustic guitars, organ, bass, bells, and softly beaten drums. The last time they rolled through town, thier set suffered due to a faulty mix from the board. Let’s hope the Crocodile’s legendary sound guru, Jim Anderson, is able to provide Papercuts and the city of Seattle with a beautiful, magical show they deserve.
