Temple Grandin

Made famous by Oliver Sacks in The New Yorker, autistic scientist Temple Grandin has achieved renown in her own right as an author and expert on animal behavior. Her latest volume, Animals Make Us Human: Creating the Best Life for Animals, considers the latter both as companions and food, setting out humane guidelines for both categories. BRIAN MILLER
