Nominate Your Favorite Food Revolutionary

Name your favorite farmer, restaurateur, baker, or anyone else who you think has shaped the way Seattle eats.

Seattle Weekly and the Pellegrini Foundation are calling for nominations for the third annual Angelo Pellegrini Award, which honors lifetime contributions to food in the Puget Sound region. The award’s namesake, author of The Unprejudiced Palate (1948), has inspired millions of people who love clean, beautiful, locally produced food. Seafood guru Jon Rowley (2007) and salumi-maker Armandino Batali (2008) are past winners.

Nominate your favorite farmer, restaurateur, baker, or anyone else who you think has shaped the way Seattle eats. Submit their names, with a sentence or two explaining why you’ve picked them, to pellegrini@seattleweekly.com. The submission deadline is Friday, Jan. 30. A panel of past winners and other food-scene notables will review the nominations. We’ll then profile the winner, along with other Seattle Weekly Food Award winners, in our March 11 issue.
