The Pajama Men

In the world of sketch comedy, two-man troupes are rare. Two-man troupes that are actually funny are rarer. And two-man troupes who set other sketch comedians abuzz are rarerer. But that’s the word on Chicago duo The Pajama Men, which consists of Mark Chavez and Shenoah Allen. Their new show, Versus Vs. Versus, is a deft interweaving of numerous ridiculous plotlines and physical comedy. Last here in Seattle in 2003, to rave reviews, the two perform a scripted show that doesn’t rely on your standard pop-culture and TV references. Their humor is dense, thoughtful, and often surreal. Musical act Luminous Craft (aka Dominick Campbell) accompanies the duo. Annex Theatre, 1100 E. Pike St., 800-838-3006, www.annextheatre.org. $12–$18. 8 p.m. Thurs.-Sat. Ends Dec. 20.
