Hey! The Broadway legend and two-time Tony Award winner (for Song and Dance and Annie Get Your Gun) has written a children’s book with a theatrical theme: Broadway Barks. Proceeds from today’s book sales go to Seattle Childrens Theatre, which will also be displaying costumes, props, puppets, and scenery from past shows. Wristbands for the apparently very exclusive event will be issued beginning at 9 a.m., with 240 maximum seating. So stage parents may need extra coffee to ensure their fabulously talented kids get front-row seats. Their future careers in show business may depend on it. BRIAN MILLER
