Daniel Vosovic

Remember Daniel Vosovic? He was the darling of Project Runway’s second season who made it all the way to Fashion Week only to be eked out of the title by winner Chloe Dao. (Boo! Hiss!) If the memory still stings, don’t worry about Vosovic. He’s managed to avoid falling into that black hole that eats up so many reality stars—probably because the guy actually has talent. After the show wrapped, his classic, tasteful, and completely wearable aesthetic landed him a design gig with trendy hotel chain NYLO. Now, in Fashion Inside Out (Watson-Guptill, $25.95), he outlines the design process from finding inspiration to creating a cohesive collection, plus industry advice on networking and selling yourself. The book also comes with the bonus of a foreword by Tim Gunn (also known as my personal vocabulary guru and imaginary BFF). Vosovic will discuss his book, sign copies, and—I’m keeping my fingers crossed—possibly gossip about Heidi and Nina, too. University Bookstore, 4326 University Way N.E., 634-3400.
