Whose Live Anyway

The American version of the hit British improv show Whose Line Is It Anyway? left TV two years ago. While the Whose Live Anyway comedy tour may seem belated, blockbuster sales for the Spice Girls and New Kids on the Block reunions prove that nostalgia always trumps a tight wallet. Though most WLIIA alumni have departed for greener pastures (e.g., Drew Carey on The Price Is Right), tonight’s show will feature Ryan Stiles, the ultra-tall comedian known for his outrageous shoes and spot-on celebrity impersonations. (His Carol Channing is classic.) Also included are Greg Proops, who appeared extensively on the British Whose Line, and The Office star Chip Esten. Singer Jeff Davis rounds out the ensemble, so fans can rest assured they’ll hear many improvised songs. As on TV, the show is based around simple, family-friendly improv games. There are no extended narratives or adult material, and your crazy scene suggestions help provide the laughs. Moore Theatre, 1932 Second Ave., 467-5510, www.themoore.com. 7 p.m. $35-$60. FRANK PAIVA
