Willie Nelson

Though Willie Nelson is as well-known these days for his political, animal-rights, and marijuana activism as for his long, distinguished music career, the 75-year-old songwriter still keeps putting out an impressive volume of work. And not on the standard album-per-year schedule, either. In addition to his solo January release, Moment of Forever, Nelson recently teamed up with Wynton Marsalis to record another brand-new album, Two Men With the Blues, a fusion of jazzed-up country classics and twangier blues standards—among them “My Bucket’s Got a Hole in It” and “Georgia on My Mind.” Though Nelson’s voice has grown a little grittier over the years, and though Marsalis won’t be joining him on this tour, you don’t want to miss the Redheaded Stranger. Marymoor Park, 6046 W. Sammamish Pkwy. N.E. (Redmond), www.metrokc.gov. $42.50–$69.50. 7 p.m. SARA BRICKNER
