Tintin et Moi

Screened in conjunction with Alliance Française's salute to the French graphic novel this week (with related events at the Henry, Fantagraphics, and downtown public library), this 2003 Danish documentary examines the origins of the famous cartoon hero (born in 1929). Artist-creator Hergé is interviewed, along with Andy Warhol, of all people. Apparently he was a fan of the line-work, which actually makes sense when you consider Hergé's bright, clear, proto-Pop Art graphic style. (NR) BRIAN MILLER
