Pepper

Hawaii-hailing trio Pepper emerged in the late ’90s with a funky blend of reggae-dancehall-rock anthems. And though the three never really achieved mainstream success, they did become a choice band to blast at college dorms and fraternity parties across the nation. Lyrics like “Maybe I should drive home far from sober/And maybe I should sleep alone ’cause I don’t have a rubber” provided the soundtrack for all of us who attended keggers more often than class. Since Pepper’s original fans have graduated and entered the workforce, the boys too have evolved, leaving their record label and self-releasing their newest album, Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations. But songs like “Wet Dreams” prove they really haven’t strayed too far from their frat-tastic swagger. Slightly Stoopid also performs. Marymoor Park, 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Pkwy.
