Little Party and the Bad Business (CD release)

Friday, June 27

It's no secret I absolutely adore Little Party and the Bad Business. Even though I've never heard them count off a 1,2,3,4, I've hailed them as "the most punk rock band in Seattle." My stance on this matter isn't likely to change, because their debut full-length, which they're celebrating tonight, is the stuff great first records are made of: poverty, angst, and a perfectly portioned dose of FUUUUUCK YOOOUUU. Not to mention they are ummmÂ…for lack of a better term, completely yummers, exuding a hotness so palpable it makes me feel like a dirty old lady to even talk about it. Frankly, folks, I'm running out of good things to say about them. I can only continue encouraging you to check them out, as these kids are poised for the kind of success that will make you regret not being able to say, "Oh yeah, Little Party and the Bad Business! I caught 'em back in the day." With Mad Rad, Birdwatchers United, Seahouse, Sam Rousso SoundsystemÂ’s Black Mountain dance party. The Vera Project, Seattle Center, Warren Ave. N. and Republican. 7:30 p.m. All ages.

Fri., June 27, 7:30 p.m., 2008
