Gabriel Iglesias

He got disqualified from Last Comic Standing for multiple violations, including smuggling a BlackBerry into the finals, but humiliation via reality TV hasn’t hindered Gabriel Iglesias’ stand-up career. After all, how many Mexicans do you know who can pull off impressions of Steve Irwin and George Bush? Aside from his dead-on impersonations, Iglesias has established himself as a master of self-deprecating humor with stories about being fat--errr, “fluffy”--and Mexican in America. He also manages to shed light on issues like racial profiling and immigration without getting preachy. Fans and skeptics alike who followed his LCS appearances are advised to check out Iglesias’ comedic chops sans BlackBerry tonight. Moore Theatre, 1932 Second Ave., 467-5510, www.themoore.com. $30. 8 p.m. ERIKA HOBART
