Finish Line Festival

Don’t worry: If you get a flat pedaling up one of the steep, infamous Eastside hills during the Flying Wheels Summer Century ride, mechanics will come to the rescue. But should you decide to abandon the 100-mile trek (or one of its shorter sub-routes), you may be on your own—oh no!—in the sticks. (Cue the banjo theme from Deliverance.) Or you can ride safer laps in the Little 100 relay event at the Marymoor Velodrome using single-speed cruisers (provided) and wearing your own wacky costumes. (Teams of four race 12 laps, beginning at 2 p.m.) And for all who return to the park safely, or never leave, the Finish Line Festival offers a beer garden, sausages, massage stands, and music. Marymoor Park, 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Parkway N.E. (Redmond), 522-2453, www.cascade.org. $25–$40. 8 a.m.–7 p.m. JOSHUA LYNCH
