Zoomazium Earth Day celebration

Why someone would have a couple drinks and think, “Hey, I should climb over that 10-foot fence and fondle the giraffe,” is beyond me. But last year, some drunks proceeded with said brilliant plan and ended up in the hospital. I call wine tasting in the zoo a potential disaster; the folks at the Zoomazium deem it an Earth Day celebration. Dine on eco-friendly hors d’oeuvres (free-range chicken, grass-fed cattle, etc.) to help stomach the buzz. Some small creatures will make an appearance, but if you get beat up by an armadillo, your problems likely go far beyond drinking. Woodland Park Zoo, 5500 Phinney Ave., 548-2662, www.zoo.org. 21 and older. $40. 6 p.m. ERIKA HOBART
Tue., April 22, 6 p.m., 2008
