Urinetown

A large, monopolistic corporation (nope, it ain’t Microsoft) takes advantage of a town’s 20-year-drought by seizing control of public amenities and charging citizens for restroom usage. Capitalism gone amok, incompetent governance, a full bladder. . . gee, this sure sounds familiar. The three-time Tony Award winning musical/satire takes some potent jabs at our society, and at the conventional Broadway musical, with notable performances by Mark Waldstein (as Officer Lockstock) and Alex Garnett (as corporate brown-noser McQueen.) It’s the most enjoyable experience you’ll have in the pisser…well, unless you’ve got your own band to accompany you on “It’s a Privilege to Pee.” ERIKA HOBART 8:15 p.m. Fri.-Sat. Ends April 26.

Fridays, Saturdays, 8:15 p.m.; Sun., April 13, 2:15 p.m.; Sun., April 20, 2:15 p.m. Starts: March 28. Continues through April 26, 2008
