Pacific Northwest Ballet artistic director Peter Boal says “Another, please” with this “Director’s Choice” program, adding one more ballet each from William Forsytheand Ulysses Doveto the repertory. One Flat Thing, reproducedis in line with Forsythe’s other work—sharp and hard-edged, with dancing that explores the violence and aggression possible in ballet. Dove’s Vespersreflects his background in modern dance, with mobile torsos and propulsive, off-balance phrasing. The two new works are joined by Für Alina, a tender duet by New York City Ballet dancer and choreographer Edwaard Liang, and a revival of PNB ballet master Paul Gibson’s noir-ish Sense of Doubt, where agitation lives just outside the edges of the stage.
