One Flat Thing, reproducedis in line with Forsythes other worksharp and hard-edged, with dancing that explores the violence and aggression possible in ballet. Doves Vespersreflects his background in modern dance, with mobile torsos and propulsive, off-balance phrasing. The two new works are joined by Für Alina, a tender duet by New York City Ballet dancer and choreographer Edwaard Liang, and a revival of PNB ballet master Paul Gibsons noir-ish Sense of Doubt, where agitation lives just outside the edges of the stage.
