Bow & Arrow

Friday, January 25

Bicycles, basement shows, and the DIY ethos. This is pretty much the mission statement of locals Bow & Arrow, who take plenty of cues from the ’80s Washington, D.C./Dischord scene. There hasn’t been much excitement in the local punk/hardcore scene of late, but Bow & Arrow bring exactly the jolt it needs. With these guys, it’s not about aping the precedent of Ian MacKaye so much as it is about playing their music with the same fury and passion. With Pleasureboaters. The Vera Project, Seattle Center, Warren Avenue North and Republican Street. BRIAN J. BARR

Listen to a sample of Bow & Arrow's "We Bricklayers."
