King of the Screen!

Fateful romance finally shown to scale!

Imagine seeing the highest-grossing movie of all time on a screen whose size does the film’s title (and fame) justice! As part of Cinerama’s 70MM Film Series, running through March 2008, they’re offering four screenings of James Cameron’s record-breaking epic, Titanic. This super-resolution print shows ridiculous detail as compared to the normal 35 mm celluloid. Examine every pore of Leo’s flaxen complexion. Ogle the crystal clarity of Kate wearing “this, and only this.” Yeah, yeah, and the icebergs will look great, too. You’ll feel like you’re right there, drowning alongside the masses while staring at Cinerama’s 90-foot-by-30-foot screen and surrounded by its cutting-edge sound and projection systems (thank you very much, Mr. Allen). Barring a showing in 3-D, there’s no better way to relive Titanic’s larger-than-lifeness. Thankfully, an expanded running time is not a by-product of this

super-sized experience. Noon, today and Sun. Dec. 2; 8 p.m. Tue, Nov. 27 and Dec. 4.
