Local production group United State of Consciousness has been working to elevate the Northwests musical mind since 1996. Tonights 16+ mega-rave celebrates their longevity with three arenas packed with talent. The Broken Bliss stage features Florida funky break ambassadors Jackal and Hyde, San Franciscos Bassnectar, and DJ Swamp; the Drum and Bass Massive brings Pendulum all the way from Australia, plus Evol Intent and Hive; and the headlining tent has locals-done-good Jacob London opening for Steve Porter and Paul Van Dyk on his In Between album tour. A perennially top-ranked DJ, East Berlin native PvD broke out on the international DJ scene with the 1998 single For An Angel, with continued hits on the double-album opuses Politics of Dancing 1 and 2. What sets him apart from all the big names on the Ibiza rosters? He continuously excels at producing and finding fantastic new talent through his Vandit Record label. And as a DJ, he spins a great mix of euphoric trance with harder progressive club anthems. Not convinced? Try listening to his remix of Guide Me God (Ghostland feat. Sinéad OConnor) after hearing The Other Side (featuring Wayne Jackson), and then come talk to us. Or better yet, go dance.
