That holy triumvirate is invoked in countless dance songs, which you'll likely hear in Pioneer Square's prettiest megaclub, the "Am I in South Beach?" Trinity. A suited doorman sorts guests into a hallway lined with velvety brocade wallpaper—beyond that, a ginormous chandelier sparkles over the main room's bar, with the DJ saving lives in a balcony above the dance floor. Whether you want to rub up against the crowd depends on who's setting the musical mood, but of all the joints in this hood, Trinity shouldn't be written off as a bridge-and-tunnel scene. Avoiding it would cause you to miss the Alice-in-Wonderland scale of Victorian finery lurking in every corner, from banisters to chill-out areas to the bathrooms. House reigns supreme, but the club's Blue Room hosts a free drum and bass night, InDepth, on Wednesdays, where you might hear MC Conrad's chant of "We came to free your mind, soothe your soul."
